Each book I read teaches me something new. I naturally reflect on how insights and learnings fit within my personal, current context. I can read a book again years later and take away something completely different from it, because I am in a different place.
A book summary by AI teaches me nothing.
The reading process is about my thinking blending with the author's thinking. When my own thinking isn't involved, and I'm not participating, the value gets lost.

This is horrifying but I've definitely heard of it. Thanks for the heads up!
QR codes in public spaces are all at risk of being replaced and used by criminals to steal information and money.
They are also for example used on fake donation campaigns ("scan to send money") , fake marketing material ("scan for a coupon") and even fake parking tickets ("scan to pay your fee").
The video of a fake QR code in a car park is also available in this blog post if you want to share it with people in other forums.

Attention and money is no longer amassed by people who make real, working things but by people who claim the absurd and illogical will soon happen.
This aligns with how Musk is celebrated for making an entrance in a remote-controlled car he claims is self-driving.

A helpful tip by Alastair here: adding friction to help people consider they might be subject to a scam. In this example his mum’s credit card wrapped in a card holder that urges her to think “Is this a scam?” and to call him.
Makes me want to brainstorm more friction ideas to combat fraud.

Vi vet inte varför vi gör det eller vad vi ska göra med informationen; det är inte åsiktsregistrering men det är självklart anonymt.

När en politiker använder ordet anonymt vet jag aldrig om de förstår vad det ordet betyder, ej heller vad de menar.

Would be very cool! I'm still on sick leave after my heart surgery but will slowly make my way back to working life starting next week. 😊
So much work being put into detecting, correcting and deleting AI content that is infiltrating sources with previously high levels of trust.
How long can humans resist? Surely someone will build a bot that just floods Wikipedia with fake believable content?
