As an iPhone user it blew my mind that speech-to-text works this well on a Pixel. Apple has certainly not brought the responsiveness of their touch screen to the voice format. x.com/jamescham/stat…
Free speech has never been "I can say anything I want on your privately-owned platform".
BUT
A select few US incorporated companies now have huge worrisome unchecked control over what is seen and not.
It's not an easy debate but it's an important one that needs to be ongoing.

@JesperBylund @per_p To a large extent I agree. But who controls this is a bigger problem. We have a 'free speech' platform controlled by a US incorporated company. All Twitter decisions, even decisions not to act, are controlled by them. So the debate on this is needed, as I see it.

@weylandswart The way Twitter did this I think is a good test. They are not deleting, condemning or saying anything in Trump's tweet is wrong. They are providing contextual links to the topic, essentially a "read more" link.
@weylandswart I also agree about how Twitter is becoming a free spech platform and I think we need that debate too. Should free speech be incorporated in a US company where I as a participant have no vote on who has power over decision-making? Twitter's move illustrates how fragile this is.

@JesperBylund @per_p Isn't that exactly what is happening here? Trump's speech is not policed, it is there for everyone to see. Nobody deleted his tweet. Tech is adding context to a topic, and the context is provided by journalists. Twitter is enabling the visibility of the fact-checking journos.

@weylandswart I get this take, but everything influences public opinion - that's one reason this is happening.
There are so many facets to this. Is the platform of an incorporated company the definition of free speech? No simple answer to the core issue, but I believe we need this debate.

@deeped Men rent generellt så finns mycket inom design som kan göras för att uppmuntra till tydligare reflektion och eftertanke i samband med delningar. Jag kan inte komma från hur mycket bättre jag gillade när vi körde manuella retweets.
