ALL energy sources are growing continuously. Oil, coal and gas are setting new records. We're not replacing anything⦠we're just increasing everything.
Graph 1 shows how graph 2 is misleading. It makes it look like fossil fuel output is decreasing, even as it is still increasing.

I can't find the e-book on Kobo, only the audio version. Do you happen to know why this is? I'm confident I've bought other Simon & Schuster books there. Keen to read this!
I'm in Sweden, if that perhaps is a reason. Hmm, the problem does indeed seem to be Sweden š§
āInstead, he took out two long knitting needles. Between them dangled a mound of pink yarn. He explained to me that he was making a winter hat for a niece. And for the first time that morning, I noticed a glint of pride and excitement in his eyes.ā
Page 13 in this weekās @thecontinent.org, with a report on the migrant crossing from Morocco into Ceuta that actually includes voices from people who were part of that crossing.
www.thecontinent.org/_files/ugd/2...

ā The article explains the growing social media rumors and false information that triggered the events, and the complicated relationship between Spain, Morocco and Algeria - extending to the EU, USA, and Israel.
ā Extreme right voices in the EU used all this as fodder for anti-immigrant sentiments. And Iām said to say Swedenās own prime minister Kristersson was an example of one of those voices, authoring an opinion piece with many unfounded claims and further fearmongering. Far from a uniting voice.
ā Meanwhile, at least 70 people died in that crossing. In other media Iāve seen numbers as high as 88. Thousands were injured.
I wanted to share a recent @tgspodcast.bsky.social episode that really resonated with me. I made an effort to find the website and was really saddened to see poor use of "AI"-generated images as episode illustrations. Here, two confusing left hands. It truly detracts from the dignity of the audio.

Artist @davidrevoy.com is struggling with growing accusations of using "AI" in his artwork. Meanwhile, "AI" has been (without permission) training on his decades of art and illustrations being published online.
Also, the algorithm on Instagram started labeling his comic as "Likely made with AI".

Got it. Interesting about DMs. I wonder if that happened when I moved to Eurosky.

Oh, that's lovely to hear. It's a small handbook and I'd be happy to send you one and you just reimburse me for the postage - I have a bunch in a box that I bring to workshops.
The physical copy is really only available to order in Sweden/Nordics.
You can DM me your address.

This quote just struck me as truly powerful. Perhaps especially in a context where there is a tendency to outsource the doing to machines.
It's feels surreal to me that Erin Brockovich is leading protests against data centers. Yes, that Erin Brockovich.
I'm so 'effin impressed by her work.

Refuting the idea that digital design must be human-centric has helped me manage my role and professional responsibility in a digital ecosystem. The pursuit of universal wellbeing is more rewarding, and invites conversations that I and my teams were not previously having.

Really looking forward to today's Mystery AI Hype Theater 3000 where Emily M. Bender and Alex Hanna will break down the reporting around the OpenAI agent that "broke free" to hack Hugging Face.
