”A Facebook spokesperson said the notification is the start of new proactive and transparent way for the company to handle issues going forward.”
🧐 Hmm. You have to wonder how often stuff like this has happened without notification. x.com/dylanbyers/sta…

@MisterAlek @josephscrivener My mind also went to motorcycle but then I did think "he must mean a bicycle". We're all in different states of mind :)

I have birthday entries every week for people I don't know who they are. I also don't know how they got in there or how I get rid of them. Apps/Google/FB/LinkedIn(?) pull in stuff from weird places and provide no delete button.
I quite hate it.

@kazarnowicz True. It gives me chills every time I say it to myself.
@kazarnowicz Which makes it even more scary that Freddy Krueger is now real life.
The fact that the wording on this kindergarten note reminded me of the Freddy Krueger rhyme (Nightmare on Elm Street) creeped me out even more than the fact that these types of notes are a thing. Which yes, creeped me out quite a bit. x.com/radiofreegeorg…
The note says:
Lockdown. Lockdown.
Lock the door.
Shut the lights off.
Say no more.
Go behind the desk and hide.
Wait until it's safe inside.
Lockdown. Lockdown.
It's all done.
Now it's time to have some fun.
The Freddy Krueger nursery rhyme:
One, two,
Freddy's coming for you.
Three, four,
Better lock your door
Five, six,
grab a crucifix.
Seven, eight,
Gonna stay up late.
Nine, ten,
Never sleep again....
I can feel myself having allergic reactions to posts like this. 🤢

Does your company use Net Promoter Score (NPS). If so, what is your main reason for using it?
When more and more companies say they employ user-centric design and actually don't, the words lose meaning and value. This is why the vocabulary around our professions evolve.

@amrancz True, and with correct punctuation; I’m thinking mostly of the commas.
The linguist in me sounded all sorts of alarms when reading this tweet.
”Merrily”
”Sighting”
”Spotted”
These words are not part of his regular vocabulary. May in fact be the first time ever he has used any of these 3(!) words in a tweet. (I did a quick search to confirm.)

National Day of Sweden today has been on a Wednesday, meaning that people are upset because we don’t get a squeeze day.
”Squeeze day?” you ask. This is when a holiday falls on a Tues- or Thursday and Swedes take the day closest to the weekend off as well. Squeeze day, obviously.

@baekdal Thus you need to buy yourself a Zoom and not use the computer while recording :)
At some point in the future I will have to publish a book with all the passive aggressive letters I have written to schools...

Sitting here scrolling through my Twitter feed at 9.30 in the morning, and somebody writes ”Happy National Day!” and I’m like ”Oh yeah, it’s Sweden’s national day today, I forgot about that. That’s why I’m off work! I wonder how many countries this could happen in... 😂
For context, Sweden’s National Day has only been an official public holiday since 2005. And the Wikipedia page ends its entry very on point: “Most Swedes don’t celebrate the National Day of Sweden.” en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_…
Midsummer’s eve is when Swedes go all in, and that’s less than 3 weeks away. We need to preserve our energy. sweden.se/culture-tradit…
