Empathy will make us WANT to do the right thing, but will not tell us how or if we have succeeded. Empathy can be dangerous when it makes us believe we fully understand what another person is going through.

Seems that all algorithms are described as AI these days. Obviously a great way to confuse people and inflate the value of anything you’re working on.
If the edge-case happens because of how your platform works, then YOU ARE designing for edge-cases. You can only choose to be more or less oblivious to them, meaning you are either a power of carelessness or one of responsibility.
