RIP Stan Lee. Wow, did you bring some awesome experiences to my life.

@inkblurt Good times :) I started using Lynx much later to understand accessibility better.

@inkblurt Hmm... version 2.0 for Unix was released on the 10th. Version 0.5 was released in January of the same year. Version 1.0 for Windows was released today (11th) 25 years ago. To be absolutely correct 😘

Sunday long-read from National Geographic. Dystopic.
“Something dramatic is under way,” says Heather Lynch, a penguin biologist at Stony Brook University. “It should bother us that we don’t really know what’s going on.”

"Finally, an inflated ego narrows our vision. The ego always looks for information that confirms what it wants to believe. Basically, a big ego makes us have a strong confirmation bias. Because of this, we lose perspective and end up in a leadership bubble where we only see and hear what we want to. As a result, we lose touch with the people we lead, the culture we are a part of, and ultimately our clients and stakeholders."

@steveportigal I've been recommending your books today btw. I also started to set up a KIT recommenantion list for Listening: kit.com/axbom/listening
There are 4 Netflix shows I follow religiously:
• House of Cards
• Daredevil
• Riverdale
• Gotham
Where are the forums to talk about your embarassing obsessions?
• Formal education does not guarantee quality of work.
• Experience does not guarantee relevant insights.
• Design thinking does not cure prejudice.
• Good intent does not make you innocent when things go wrong.
(oh. hello. don't mind me, I'm just making a list)

Now I’m reading about NRA telling doctors and physicians who speak up about gun control to ”stay in their lane”, i.e. to only speak about things they know something about. These are the professions managing the aftermath of shootings and it obviously IS their lane.
So this ridiculous NRA statement gave rise to the hashtag #StayinMyLane; there were also earlier ones such as #ThisIsMylane and #ThisIsOurLane
This was the photo that made me dive deeper: x.com/traumadmo/stat…
And this is the ludicrous NRA statement: x.com/NRA/status/106…
