I am weirdly excited about seeing the new cover for The Catcher in the Rye on Tuesday, launched alongside brand new digital editions.

While we wait. Besides not wanting digital editions, Salinger hated the 1953 cover depicting Holden. Since then he wanted only author name and title on the cover. No blurb, no quote, no bio, no pics.

Will today's cover honor this request?

Here are examples of six international covers for The Catcher in the Rye. The top left one is a Swedish edition.

Here we go. The Catcher in the Rye ebook, epub and Kindle digital versions now available.

The only link I've seen confirmed working as of yet is the Barnes & Noble link with a Nook copy for $9.99.

@ifenn That it's not their phone after I've bought it from them.

I appreciate the effort to make buyers of used phones aware of non-original parts, but where does the ownership lie here?

No support for me to buy and put a non-dodgy battery into the phone.

Maybe u can change my mind?

@ifenn I mean, I can live with this change, but the direction feels like they are moving further and further from rights to repair.
