@val_brigatti @beantin Yeah for me as well. I'm thinking people who do need encrypted communication to stay safe can be especially vulnerable. Some injustices are not exposed without it

@KoloKennethK I was at home 8 months with my first child. 6 months with my second. For perspective. But that was when their mother went back to work after 6-8 months of her parental leave. I also had 14 days at home after birth. This was 17 years ago.

@mulegirl Captions FTW. It’s how kids in Sweden become proficient in English. Although in our case it’s subtitles rather than captions. Or actually, kids tend to progress from subtitles (translation) to captions (text version of speech) as tweenagers. I have no data on this. 😂

@tsvenson Fair enough. It's the bitter old grumbling man inside me that wishes it wasn't so ;)
↪ Replying to @tsvenson
@tsvenson @feedbin Yes, both Facebook and LinkedIn had RSS feeds that they scrapped. They want the web to be more closed than open... 😞
↪ Replying to @tsvenson
@tsvenson For me, RSS is a basic blog feature, hence my question ;)

@tsvenson And so a CMS that does not support RSS could be marketed as a tool for bloggers?

@theDayrooth Is this an argument for or against? 🤔
If a blog does not have an RSS feed, is it really a blog? Discuss.
As a sidenote I consume most of my media via the brilliant @Feedbin now. I believe RSS is making a comeback and not having it will make you fall behind.
Pro tip: Feedbin also manages Twitter following of people, tags, lists, search queries. And e-mail newsletters!

Then we can panic.

”Scholars have been pointing to the technical and social risks of facial recognition for years. Greater accuracy is not the point. We need strong legal safeguards that guarantee civil rights, fairness and accountability. Otherwise, this technology will make all of us less free.”
