If you say google-de-meet it sounds satisfyingly similar to gobbledygook which is one my favourite words.
Anyway, that is my Friday musing. That is all.
My #UXCopenhagen talk has been published by @snetramelleh!
An emotional talk on abuse and the systems that support that abuse. As designers we have the power to abuse, but how aware are we of when this happens?

@tvrdek @peeplaja @mayli Thank you for this feedback Jerry! :)
Overpromised and took on more than is healthy at the start of this autumn. But I made it through 4 weeks of teaching and managing two client projects. Just wrapped up a final workshop.
Tomorrow is grading papers and @UXPodcast work and then I will sleep like a baby this weekend.
Note to future self: don't do this again.

'Ek' is a very common Swedish surname. I always wonder how rules like this come about. Someone (you know the type) takes a _guess_?
In the end, stuff like this should be caught in testing. I've worked with a test lead who was amazing at finding these false assumptions. twitter.com/shirleyywu/status/1300…

@steveportigal @telegram It's akin to gaslighting when it's making me feel a reasoned, self-caring choice is a bad choice.
Hey @telegram, is it really necessary to show this eyesore of a red exclamation mark on the settings icon just because I don't want to have notifications turned on?

Same thing with this notice about sharing my phonebook with the app. Why can't I just say no and be rid of the notification? It doesn't feel like an autonomous choice if you are constantly nagging me. @telegram

Today my students had their final presentations. Manifestos presented as fairytales, trees, jigsaw puzzles, maps and trains! And I was brought to tears for a while. I love teaching this course so much.
One student expressed a review of the course today as "3 weeks of torture", and thankfully made a point of adding: "but in a good way".
I haven't finished digesting this yet.
