What are some theories you love to hate on that are widespread and are seemingly scientific (and often expressed as such by media) but actually have little or no scientific basis?
I'm thinking of things like
- Maslow's hierarchy of needs

A few minutes ago I made up a word I’ve needed. ”Search online” is neutral but people don’t get why I don’t say ”google”. So now I’m saying:
”I swoogled it.”
Swoogle = Search without google.
There I go thinking I’m clever… Ha! There was actually a search engine named Swoogle!! SW stood for ’semantic web’.

Thank you for the good-lucks and well-wishes friends. I really needed that today I realise. Not only the world is weird… we sometimes don’t recognise ourselves - and that can be daunting.
In the end they were 198(!) people and maxed out their company meeting account. So much fun, great feedback and great discussions around digital ethics and accessibility. Good way to start the day.

So I added the Commento commenting platform to my blog in November because I liked the focus on privacy. But it’s impossible to get hold of a human there. Or THE human as I think it’s a one-man show.
What are some other privacy-conscious commenting platforms?
The only redeeming feeling of discovering and reading many ancient and cringeworthy drafts in my blog platform is that I actually was sensible enough not to publish some of them.
