On my contact form on axbom.me I respond with a page saying I think you should spend more time if the form is submitted within 10 seconds of arriving at the page. So far this has stopped all web form spam. It can't be this easy, surely?

The episode of Black Mirror entitled Metalhead is confirmed to be inspired by Boston Dynamics. Now I'm wondering if the latest addition to Spot Mini (opening doors) is inspired by Metalhead. And will it allow attachments? Knives maybe?

Just to be clear, this is what I'm seeing when I see Spot Mini open doors.
If Spot grabs a knife and stabs someone, how would the legal proceedings even play out? Can engineers today build bots with killing potential and walk free of responsibility? To what extent is accountability possible? Just full of questions, aināt I? ;)

@janeruffino I believe when you code like that it's called "brogramming".

@elou Love that! I studied communication science in college which for me did exactly what you say; it gave me a platform for understanding how communication between humans works. Thinking about it that was incredibly useful for anything I may have wanted to pursue.
āŖ Replying to @elou
@elou Yeah, the reason I think it's that low is because of the huge growth of the digital design industry and profession. There were no schools for digital design back then. Now my son is choosing between dozens of different "tech creator" high schools. Just in tiny Stockholm.

@elou Oh man that brought me back. I remember winning a Palm III at the Builder.com conference in New Orleans In 1998. Same year I saw the 1st Google logo. 4 years laters we had to fire people at a startup when the bubble burst. Guessing 10-15% ?
@elou And that preview is totally non-related. Though obviously one could possibly trace domain ownership of that builder domain which could be cool if you're a certain type of geek, which of course I am.
@elou Couldn't ignore my sidetrack: "Builder-com" was a CNet conference. In 2001 CNet purchased the online trade publication Tech Republic. In 2008 CBS acquired CNet. The fact that the domain name has been active, and renewed, inside the company for this long is very impressive.
10 years ago designers demanded a "seat at the table" and got it by showing how design contributes to conversions. At this point designers abandoned their human-centric roots and became numbers-centric. Today many of us are waking up to this wrong turn, trying to make amends.
So rather than explaining to leadership how UX contributes to the bottom line, we need to demand from leadership that they explain how the bottom line contributes to UX.
Time to take back the frame and own it.

@adrianh D'you know if there are calculations made on how much extra energy animations consume on average?
Such an important point on pursuing a consistent and frictionless design. It makes people think less and discern less differences, hence greatly increasing the likelihood for mistakes. x.com/MegDraws/statuā¦

@Acuity_Design Wow. This is exactly what I am trying to push for as well, the importance of self-awareness and self-worth before you can help others in a good way. For me this came out of coaching and being coached.
