PSA to some friends: If your password is Noodles08 and you just keep updating the number, hackers will have no trouble guessing your password if an old password like Noodles03 was part of a password leak.

When did your password last leak out? Check here: haveibeenpwned.com

It's frustrating how common this pattern is among people I talk to. Which is their second mistake. They are literally telling me their password patterns!!!

Getting cleaned up for #MƤlarenRunt. A yearly motorcycle event where thousands of motorcycles drive around lake MƤlaren during the same day. It was canceled last year but this year they've removed stops and made it covid-safe. I'll add photos to this thread during Saturday.

Two dogs are riding in style in a sidecar.

What a day for it! ā˜€ļø

Current location: Turinge.

Eight hours after I took off this morning, home again. Fantastic day. My body will be aching tomorrow. Not many pictures, but you know: driving... Might post some faves later.

The new Harley-Davidson offroad motorcycle looks like a military vehicle.

A motorcycle made of recycled scrap metal. The gas tank is a milk pail.

I imagine this is what an Apple motorcycle would look like. White and streamlined. (Made by Buell American Motorcycles)

Just came across a newsletter where the unsubscribe link was blue and underlined but actually not a link at all. Only fashioned to look like one and thus rendering unsubscribe impossible. Who makes these decisions? 🤬

I know people who would keep tapping on that fake link, think there is something wrong with their finger and blame themselves. These same people do not know how to filter those messages into the bin.

ā€œThe federal government has collected biometric data from Afghans despite knowing the risks entailed by maintaining large databases of personal information, especially given recent cyberattacks on government agencies and private companies. These efforts are continuing to expand.ā€

Ā« Press’s thesis is that our society confers on these workers an ā€œunconscious mandateā€ to do jobs that are morally objectionable and at the same time wants those jobs to remain invisible. Ā»

Ā« But Press reports that some of those working in secretive drone warfare programs were offered little explanation of what they would be doing, and as they came to comprehend their missions they spiraled psychologically, from disappointment to disgust or suicidal despair. Ā»

Ā« Many of the workers he encountered blamed themselves for the harms they had done. They were victims of ā€œmoral injury,ā€ meaning they had violated their own core values and were suffering profoundly for it. Ā»

This book just jumped to the top of my reading list.
