When storing data (sound/video/transcript et al) from user research, what strategy do you have for avoiding content ending up on various cloud services?

Or do you never save directly to a computer but rather to peripheral storage?

And if you’re okay with cloud storage, is this something you clearly explain to the people whose personal data will be stored there?

Yesterday, when I sent this out, was the 11-year anniversary of my company. My intent was to mention this in the newsletter, making a point of how I forgot my 10-year anniversary during the pandemic. But alas, I now realise I forgot to mention the 11-year anniversary… 😂🤪
