@ifenn But, but... 😬 Actually I find that extremely intriguing. Will want to learn more when our paths cross... likely at a future conference.
Won’t worry, I promise :)
Sometimes I worry many of my industry colleagues are only reading non-fiction books and not enough novels.
It’s clear here how Facebook equates itself to a country. But ”free speech” does not mean you have to allow everything on your privately owned platform. It does mean that Facebook are free to NOT allow content that harms people. They have made their choice in this matter. x.com/facebook/statu…
Also, the quip about ”both the left and the right” is particularly worrisome. Nobody is saying that misinformation or hate speech is ok either way. But Facebook are also not likely students of the paradox of intolerance.

Developers, web designers, geeks. Lend me your ears. Do you want to avoid long words breaking your designs on mobile? Insert a soft hyphen where the word is allowed to break.
The HTML code for soft hyphen is *drum roll*:

You’re welcome.
Am I the only one who wants an origin story? x.com/sakeriver/stat…
A Chrome plugin existed to allow harvesting of personal info from Facebook groups.

”New York City Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia [...] considered canceling the event, but ultimately he, along with the American Jewish Committee and the American Civil Liberties Committee decreed that the Bund was exercising its right to free speech and free assembly.” x.com/openculture/st…
Who is hiring Kim next to speak? I want to see her on stage! x.com/lanicesims/sta…

Okay, I admit. Today I had to look up why English football fans keep saying "It's coming home." But I still have no idea if the results so far mean that it in fact is coming home... I guess I'll find out more on Saturday.

@jessalyn @_NCDV @nilluthe5th Though it's an English ad I sadly believe the phenomenon is not limited to England. :(
This domestic violence ad stops you in your tracks.
"If England gets beaten so will she. Domestic violence increases by 26% when England play. 38% if they lose."

@elou It's like I'm getting more and more upset with Musk every day. Did you see his response to this? "I think [the person I responded to] will survive."
That person had to make their account private because of all the hate.
”NISD applies to organizations that provide “essential services” in critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, transport, banking & financial, water, health sector, and digital infrastructure (ISPs, DNS providers, etc.).” x.com/pagefreezer/st…
If you still use the same password on multiple services, and have done for 2-3 years, I’d reckon there’s a good chance hackers already have access to your social media account and are just waiting to use it. They may even post and delete within an hour, with you none the wiser.
If you haven’t changed passwords in years, don’t know what 3rd parties have access to your e-mail and social media accounts, and/or are not using a password manager, I encourage you to read my guide: medium.com/@axbom/direct-…
”Writng stuff down is nerdy?”
”Yes.”
”So what do you do?”
”I just forget stuff, like a cool person.”
