I mean, come on USA... is this for real?! Although I'm now praying Sweden never ends up here.

Ok, this made my morning. Time for breakfast, and reading free press.
Pictured is the exchange between Kaius Niemi and Spencer Swartz you can read here:

@grishund På bärbara kör jag Opera (som ju inte är så obskyr). På mobilen använder jag Aloha. Båda har inbyggd VPN.

@grishund Jag är faktiskt supernöjd med att ha gått över helt till Safari (använder dock mer obskyra webbläsare för inloggade tjänster som Facebook).
I just stopped using Chrome. x.com/thenextweb/sta…
Brought to you by the people with zero empathy for people with zero birthday wishes. x.com/thekitze/statu…
And yes I chose the word ”empathy” on purpose since it seems that there is a strong belief system in design that empathy will keep people from being hurt, and I’m working through some frustration issues with that.
↪ Replying to @CRA1G
@CRA1G It is truly brilliant how your image took off. And with regards to international versions, I’m pretty sure it crossed the ocean quickly. I’ve been seeing this Swedish version for many years.

@CRA1G I saw one with the fence in there, but not sure if you’d seen this one with the word ”Justice” added to that third panel: x.com/squidlarkin/st…
Awesome tracing of his original image (3 people looking over a fence to illustrate equality/equity) through the many, often weirdly confused, interpretations. “The Evolution of an Accidental Meme” by @CRA1G medium.com/@CRA1G/the-evo…
↪ Replying to @jmspool
@jmspool Not only that, in this context you’d be able to check off that step if everyone on the team verbally agrees that they empathize with ”users”. It does not encourage research. ”Empathy” as such can be very misleading because you can never be certain it’s something you have.
@jmspool That’s why I talk about ”impact assessment” - because it’s more helpful to actually find out if you are harming people, than it is for you to build up a, often illusory, feeling of understanding how other people behave and feel in different contexts.
I try hard to refrain from name-calling, but I’m thinking Lone Skum would make a great character name in the next Spaceballs movie. That movie would practically write itself.

@danrhealy @UXBristol Wish I'd been there to see it!

@harrybr As much as I don’t doubt it, is there a link to the poll or a screenshot of it in context of the website? I tried finding it but not sure I’m looking in the right place.
@harrybr Found the Newsweek report. newsweek.com/trump-fake-pol…
@harrybr Aaaand found the actual Inaugural Year Approval Poll in the Internet Archive. Question 3 is also a doozy. 😀

Facebook community standards exist for the purpose of creating a ”safe environment”. Are they working?

↪ Replying to @CSuitesOgden
@CSuitesOgden @StephenKing Wow, that’s a tough question. I’ve not kept up in recent years, but it has to be one of either The Gunslinger, It, or Misery. ”It” was definitely the one that scared me the most. Haven’t seen the movies yet!

@micaelbolognini Det är inte ett parti som funnits på min radar. Jag får kolla vilka av alla närmare 40 partier som är registrerade för riksdagsvalet som är rimliga att ha med, och vad kriterierna bör vara! =)
