Fun challenge for myself. All my reaction gifs (on Twitter) for the rest of the year will be pandas.
When I stopped responding to e-mails same day I believe I created a new healthy, mindful space I had forgotten was available to me. Responding to e-mails can now take me an average of 1-2 weeks and I don’t let it bother me. On the contrary, accepting this empowers me.
When responding I also avoid apologizing for the wait. What I will do is thank the sender for their patience.
Yes, obviously this is a generalization with exceptions, but there is a huge change in how I manage and allow myself to feel about e-mails. Since about a year back.
Benchmarking and best-practices can be a recipe for repetitive abuse.

I’ve grown weary of titles. I hang with the people I like, go to conferences I enjoy and in my work strive to create the most value to both sender and receiver of content and services. Sometimes I work alone, sometimes I lead teams.
I sometimes work close to the product, sometimes with strategy. If others feel a need to label me that’s fine. What I don’t like is working without talking to - and cooperating with - people affected by what I’m contributing to.
Setting clear goals is also an essential. As is avoiding or mitigating any contribution to harm. I’ll work from A to B, but need to know that everyone agrees on what those letters represent before I create anything.
This interview with @jack makes me suspect that Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has been placed in the wrong genre, and is actually a dystopian prediction on par with Brave New World and Nineteen Eighty-Four.

Just speed watched #FyreNetflix to grasp what the fuss was about. Exposed scams and scammers provide a learning moment. If anything it also shows how much is recorded in video and audio these days(!)
Will make my kids watch as a discussion point and deterrent.

@visakanv This is how I see the kitchen area at every company I visit :) Once someone starts putting their dirty coffee cup in the sink instead of the dishwasher, others do the same. Bad vibes ensue.
Yeah we may not have polar bears roaming the streets, but Stockholm can provide some unigue experiences and sights.

@jonathansulo @Flickr My pics are not that size, so the space they’re offering is not same for everyone. But I agree it’s still generous. The notice period they’re giving here for deletion of hosted photos - however - is not what I would expect. I would have expected them to unpublish, not delete.
@jonathansulo @Flickr The vague language is of no help either. What does ”at risk of deletion” mean. You may be right about active community. Time will tell. I’ll watch from the sidelines ;)
So @Flickr just threatened to start deleting old photos that have been hosted there since forever. And I was a supporting Pro member for a while. Will move as far away from #Flickr as I can and will recommend others do the same. Not cool.
Yes, I’m well aware of Flickr ownership changes. But keeping my old photos for myself to have access to, and perhaps going pro in the future, would be the sensible option to keep Flickr on brand and aligned with its history. Now it’s pay or die.
