@z_rose @beantin @Acuity_Design @RavenAlly I think you’re on the right track here. And yes, the reflow is true of course. I’m thinking maybe the answer is mobile first rather than responsive. Like ”adding number input to fields” a lot of devs forget when they’re focused on making the reflow.

Now that I understand the thought experiment better I’ll be reflecting on it during the day off today :) I want to try and make a case for wcag as well.

@berkun I believe many other designs are survival designs as well, but the potential impact on users' lives is not as apparent or transparent. Hence these are the best because people understand the risks. When users do not understand the risks, the incentive for good design is less.

And yes, the primary official reasons for celebrating this day is the coronation of Gustav Vasa in 1523 and a new instrument of government being promulgated in 1809 (and also in 1974).
We are generally pretty lousy at celebrating though, but do enjoy the day off. 😁

I'm moving websites and domains (my own) between hosts and crashing things left and right. Certificate warnings and such. Wish me luck.
Thankful for Twitter in times like these. Except most people don't know to find me here. 🙄
When I'm talking to support and end with "so I need a certificate per domain; I don't want a redirect".
And they go "So to avoid the certificates problem you could do a 301-forward..."
I just don't have the energy to also teach the support staff what a redirect is.
Okay we're on the same page now and it's that awesome wait for internet stuff to PROPAGATE... which means refreshing every hour and emptying caches and whatnot...
