'Ek' is a very common Swedish surname. I always wonder how rules like this come about. Someone (you know the type) takes a _guess_?

Hey @telegram, is it really necessary to show this eyesore of a red exclamation mark on the settings icon just because I don't want to have notifications turned on?
Same thing with this notice about sharing my phonebook with the app. Why can't I just say no and be rid of the notification? It doesn't feel like an autonomous choice if you are constantly nagging me. @telegram

Today my students had their final presentations. Manifestos presented as fairytales, trees, jigsaw puzzles, maps and trains! And I was brought to tears for a while. I love teaching this course so much.
One student expressed a review of the course today as "3 weeks of torture", and thankfully made a point of adding: "but in a good way".
I haven't finished digesting this yet.
These are good privacy principles, but they should already be applied to everyone...

The one thing I would amend is the year. Quickfixes, bracings and digital band-aids have been around since decades earlier.
I was offered $25 to review an app I really like. I’m curious so I clicked to read more and realized this was for an Amazon gift certificate. So I was like “hell no then” and I now like the app a little bit less.
