1. Noticed that Facebook are updating their terms on October 1. They mention section 3.2: āWhat you can share and do on Facebookā. So I assumed it has to do with removing harmful content within the context of current criticism.
I did a text comparison.
2. As it turns out, this line is added:
āWe also can remove or restrict access to your content, services or information if we determine that doing so is reasonably necessary to avoid or mitigate adverse legal or regulatory impacts to Facebook.ā
Thatās it. Thatās the change.
3. Translation: if it risks affecting Facebook negatively, they can remove or restrict access to your content.
I read this as: Itās not about you or the wellbeing of others, itās about us and our ability to do as we like with your content to avoid litigation and _regulation_ā¦
4. The primary thing that surprises me is that this was not in there alreadyā¦

Sometimes you feel even more confident in cancelling a subscription as you go through all the asshattery of attempts to keep you as a subscriber. That offboarding process was one of the worst I've seen @VismeApp. Had to click "Yes, I still want to cancel..." at least 3 times!
