My vision for a social media platform builds on the gameplay and emotion of Journey, allows us to float around and find each other in stunning and calming landscapes and soundscapes, travel together or just wave, and shower each other in hearts at will. Nobody speaks here.
So I was reminded by @JesperBylund to play @thatskygame and I made a new anonymous friend and how cute are we holding hands! This type of game needs more attention among us seldom-players.

@jessicamalonso One of the project managers I work with started booking meetings from xx.10 to xx.50.
So 40 minutes that allow a sensible break between any other meetings. My experience is that whatever time slot you book for the meeting you get the meeting done in that time with an agenda.
Feeling like Google's new app icons are a misdirection to keep us from looking at the consequences of its business model.

@Acuity_Design This! Thinking on how there is a huge difference to how a car behaves when I'm on my motorcycle and have my yellow vest on. Giving the appearance of police they always slow down when they see me in the rearview mirror.
This is good advice.
I wish there was a more safe online space to sometimes retreat to for supporting each other's mental wellbeing.

I'd also add to this that emotions don't necessarily mislead us. That is not their role. Sometimes emotions can guide us along exactly the right path. We can often become better at telling the difference.
Adding further: I'm often at my most emotional when I'm defending my beliefs. If I can recognize this I can turn defense inte curiosity and ask questions rather than present further statements. It's an amazing opportunity for both parties to learn more about themselves.
And no, this does not work in all situations. Learning when to walk away to protect yourself and when to fight to protect the vulnerable is a life-long learning process as well.
The other time I can get really emotional is in traffic. As a driver, rider, cyclist or pedestrian. These situations can get devastatingly dangerous and I've recognized that calming myself quickly is essential.
I've always been a calm person. Getting my driver's license at 27 (many moons ago) unearthed a whole new side of me... one I didn't much like.
This was despite the fact of having ridden a motorcycle since the age of 9. But that was rarely in traffic.
It's interesting to compare how vulnerable a motorcyclist can be compared to the killing capacity of a car driver.
As a motorcyclist I'm looking way more ahead.
