@BekahHW I feel there are some dangerous assumptions going on here.
1) Introverts are not necessarily shy or ”too scared”.
2) Introverts do not necessarily want to be ”invited in”.
3) There are no universal signs for behavior.

@BekahHW I say ”dangerous assumptions” because when you assume you know how someone feels, or what they want, that can lead you to act in a way that makes them feel even more uncomfortable. I interpret this tweet as telling others what a person feels and wants in this context.
@BekahHW As I read other responses to this tweet I see that other people have expressed similar concerns with the ”universal sign” aspect of the message. I’m confident the intent is benevolent but I see many ways this can be misinterpreted.

@sonniesedge I totally agree. For a while there I thought we had good thing going when more and more people recognized introversion. But now it seems often used as a synonym for being shy.
Also, I really want to challenge the notion of there being universal signs for behavior...

@jocke I was surprised myself, but more often now when I click one of those links (especially here from the Twitter app) I can not see the post. I assumed something has changed but I may actually have to investigate more. The most recent example is Greta Thunberg’s link to her FB post.
