@steveportigal Thanks Steve. I'm coughing a lot still (which is a pain), but have been fever-free for just over a week now. The whole family was ill, with all the logistics that entails with trying to feed ourselves.
Ah well, we're through it now. And it would seem our sense of taste and smell is mostly back as well.
On a personal note, in the past three weeks I have...
* made use of a chainsaw to clear our road from a huge fallen branch (due to heavy snow)
* had another branch fall on our power lines, cutting the power for 10 hours
* blown the fuse to our water pump while deploying two heaters in the crawlspace under our house to prevent freezing in strong winds at -10°C (weird weather)
* gotten the car stuck in a snow drift
* shovelled a lot of snow
* had covid
December doth deliver...
I sometimes think back to when it wasn't expected to humanize product names and have them be professionally managed to "build the brand" through "authentic conversation" and "radical vulnerability" in order to "create a vibrant and supportive online community" in social media.
Simpler times.
In case you haven't taken notice yet, Twitter is also killing its newsletter platform Revue. Complete shutdown in January.
Lots of unplanned holiday hustle for everyone still on that platform.

Your best bet is using the Ghost RSS feed (you can use a feed for a specific Ghost tag).
You can either use something like https://www.mastofeed.org/
Or set it up using webhooks, here is a guide for an IFTTT setup:

Det kÀnns inte spontant som ett generellt Mastodon-problem⊠trÄkigt att du inte fÄr mer hjÀlp av admin.
Kan ju egentligen bara vara nÄgot av tre problem:
- Mejlet hamnar i en spam-mapp
- Du har angett fel mejladress
- Mejlet skickas aldrig (borde admin kunna se)
Om jag var du skulle jag nog ÀndÄ skapa ett nytt konto pÄ en annan instans och hopppas att du nÄgon gÄng kommer Ät kontot sÄ att du kan peka om det till det nya. (Tror inte man kan göra redirect/flytt i Tusky)

Got an invite to Post. Thought Iâd protect my username. Turns out they donât allow 5-letter usernames.
They only accept usernames 6-15 characters in length. So no need to protect my username because no one can grab it đ

För mig handlar det om opinionsbildning och att skapa medvetenhet om riskerna, sÄ att intresset för att slÀppa direkt farliga produkter minskar.
I det aktuella rÀttsfallet gissar jag att de mÄste visa att Apples "ÄtgÀrder" inte Àr tillrÀckliga för det de sÀger sig bidra till, och att övergreppen inte skulle Àgt rum utan produkten.
NÀr det gÀllde t ex CSAM-övervakning sÄ lyssnade ju Apple pÄ opinionen och pausade satsningen.
