@leanderlindahl @laxsill @tidningen_arbetaren @marknadsavdelningen @skanesfolkblad Jag blir så jäkla upprörd av att se det där… 🤬

Ghost is now a digital public good.
"Ghost meets these criteria as open source software with a strong commitment to open standards, data portability, and user privacy. It's also the only publishing platform to have achieved this standard.
For the many newsrooms, independent publishers, non-profits, and civic organizations already using Ghost, this is a formal recognition of the values that likely drew you to Ghost in the first place."

@LeoR1010 Tack Leo. 💛

I don’t think a story gets more USA than this.

McDowell cut to the chase: Did Fletcher remember telling this man that he had gone to get bail money the day before the protest?
His objective was suddenly clear: The city attorney was suggesting that Gamble had gotten arrested on purpose.
If this was meant as a gotcha, things didn’t go as intended.
“I always make sure I have bail money!” Fletcher replied emphatically, as if this should be the most obvious thing in the world.
Did he have bail money on him now?
“Yeah!” Fletcher exclaimed, then gestured broadly. “With this many cops around? Come on.”
The room erupted with laughter. Moments later, Fletcher was back in his seat. Gamble reached back and held his hand.

@leffe Haha, fair enough. 😁
@kolombiken I honestly hardly know how that happened, but I will definitely disconnect it going forward. It works fine without 'app access'.
If Adolf Hitler had launched a bot - ChatGestapo from Open Reich - half the world would be rushing to use it because 'technology is ethically neutral' and 'the future is inevitable'.
I never wonder anymore how so many could be silently complicit, because I'm seeing it happen.
And what the tech führers of today are saying out in the open, regularly and with a straight face, about their disdain for non-white and non-western cultures and people, is not stopping democratic governments from embedding the führers' ideologically driven software in public institutions.
What I see moving fast is not technology itself but rather the dismantling of democracy and the exploitation and abuse of the underserved, marginalized and minoritized.
"Radically technocratic, Palantir’s manifesto frames its tech as a response to the lack of order and security: the belief that advanced technology can and should be used to impose order on a complex, unruly world, guided by those who build and understand these systems.
Let’s reconstruct the argument. The tech imperium that is envisaged here — a Fourth Reich? — is put forward as an answer to a particular framing of the problem: a framing that was already introduced by Hobbes in the 17th century and further developed by Nazi thinker Carl Schmitt. Hobbes held the pessimistic view that without authoritarian order, humans don’t manage to live together. They create disorder, chaos. He justified absolute state authority by arguing that it can restore order. A Leviathan that rules over people. Palantir’s answer to the chaos at the global level is similar. The message to their clients is: make sure you’re the winner, dominate, then order is restored and you’re the one who is in control. Forget multilateralism; become the strongest and impose your order on all others."

Yesterday’s newsletter from Ed Zitron was a free one. It’s always interesting to follow the numbers that Zitron breaks down in these newsletters.
- Data centers are planned but not getting built (AI compute demand is being inflated).
- NVIDIA Is selling years’ worth of GPUs in advance and warehousing them.
- For every paid dollar to Anthropic, Anthropic is spending anywhere between 8 to 13 dollars. A business very much dependent on a steady stream of venture capital.
- Anthropic uptime is less than adequate.
- Zitron’s theory is that Mythos has been held back due to capacity constraints, not fears of its capabilities.
- Claude source code leaked despite Mythos being scary powerful and apparently not being able to find a vulnerability…?
- AI is very expensive, with companies spending as much as 10% of headcount cost on AI tokens, all without appearing to provide any stability, quality or efficiency gains (or justification for lay-offs).
- Uber managed to blow through its entire AI budget for the year a few months into 2026.
- Microsoft has stopped signing up new paid GitHub Copilot subscriptions entirely (new subscription model likely in the works).
- Zitron makes a strong case for how the AI startups are misleading both investors and the general public about their revenues.

@markisevil Yeah, you're absolutely right. I've just been too curious I suppose. And now that you mention it I'm not even sure I'm certain on how best to do it. Ideally I'd want to pull hardware out of the machine. 😅 Ah, this is how all my projects start…
Our previous dishwasher lasted almost 25 years. A quarter of a century. It just kept working. We took it over from my in-laws. Our current dishwasher (a year old) needs a software update via an app every month. The world is just so devastatingly stupid right now.
