If Adolf Hitler had launched a bot - ChatGestapo from Open Reich - half the world would be rushing to use it because 'technology is ethically neutral' and 'the future is inevitable'.
I never wonder anymore how so many could be silently complicit, because I'm seeing it happen.
And what the tech führers of today are saying out in the open, regularly and with a straight face, about their disdain for non-white and non-western cultures and people, is not stopping democratic governments from embedding the führers' ideologically driven software in public institutions.
What I see moving fast is not technology itself but rather the dismantling of democracy and the exploitation and abuse of the underserved, marginalized and minoritized.
