Such a great walkthrough of the uncanny valley and canny rise from an ethical viewpoint. by @chrisnoessel
Will be sharing this with my students at @Nackademin

@titanas @caseorganic This is true, but do you think there is a case for finding a pictogram for restrooms that is not just two people?

@caseorganic Yes! And speaking of iconography, for me it’s maddening how the symbol for toilet still is a man/woman and not a toilet. I’m not looking for people!
@caseorganic Realized I’ve raged about this before 😂

How can we reduce bias against vulnerable people and racism endurers? Let's go out and trick homeless black people into being our data subjects in exchange for a $5 gift certificate. Wait, what problem were we trying to solve again?
Can't make this up.

I see Trevor Noah is in London in April. Maybe someone wants to hire me for a workshop or talk in London around the same time? 😊
Last time he was in Sweden I was in Dublin. 😬 x.com/Trevornoah/sta…

@Grinblo Yes! And then a spotlight that guides you all the way to the stall that accomodates your urgency. With sound for accessibility: "toilet toilet toilet". And maybe specify your name for personalization.

@jorndevreede Haha I replied to Ron with this gif before seeing yours! Love that people remember this show.
If you are ever creating a virtual baby influencer, this is who you should be basing it on.
Baby Sinclair from the tv show Dinosaurs. GIF shows him biting his own tail.
People, I’m so excited for you to listen to our interview with @kimgoodwin on Friday. So if you’re not subscribed to @uxpodcast, now is the time to make it happen.
Search for ”UX Podcast” on all podcast clients (podcatchers), Stitcher, Spotify, etceteras. This is the logo.

@alundbergh It's really just a collection of links with articles related to tech ethics at the moment. The Raindrop makes them searchable. I use it as a research repository for my writing and talks, and I make it public so others can benefit from it too.
Should I have a celebration or wake when I reach 1,000 links in my ethics database? Should happen next week.
Anyway, the collection is as always open for your perusal:

@mattberan True. I also love those new digital parking machines for this purpose. But I have a hard time not interjecting and helping people. Some are almost crying.
So yeah, it's a love-hate relationship all around.
The good thing about doing lots of talks at the moment is that I don't have to look for new examples. They come to me every day. Baby Elis was very timely for a talk I'm doing on "being human" on Friday.
Gotta see the silver lining right? 😂😬😢🥵
Digital wayfinder touchscreen. Was looking for the toilet. Neither Swedish "toa" or "wc" gave hits. There could not possibly have been any user research done here.
Also unnerving to search for toilet on a big screen with strangers waiting to use it behind you. Negligent design🙄
