@ishyamo Yes, but I do believe It's one thing to use statistics to lie, and another to actually believe your own broken survey and imagine you are doing science.
The ease with which people conduct surveys today means that droves of decision-makers with no communications or statistical knowledge are pushing out piles of biased and disconnected questionnaires, drawing the wrong conclusions and churning misguided charts. Welp…

Look around. Who in your vicinity is making life easier for you, people whose absence would be gravely felt? What could you do to improve their wellbeing today? Their health is your health. Their health will allow you to reach further.

@andybudd Exactly. I realise waiting is good and I should probably sit down and evaluate the cost-benefit aspect and even an exit plan… how I will sell it if I don’t use it as I intend.
I have this expensive thing I want to buy and for two weeks now I have regularly gone to the website, hovered over the purchase button and not gone through with it. I think maybe I’m telling myself the dream is better than the real thing…
In 2019 I wrote about my frustration with a statement on design ethics from Tim Brown, then CEO of IDEO. In light of @georgeaye’s powerful piece I am understanding how I need to be better at recognising these statements as deeply ingrained in culture.

10 years of UX Podcast. 263 episodes. James Royal-Lawson and I decided to start a podcast on the plane back from UX Lisbon and published our first episode on May 19, 2011.
The rest, as they say, is history. We commemorate this anniversary by bringing Don Norman back on the show. His web page describes him as being on his fifth retirement while his passion for the design industry is stronger than ever, and he's very busy and active in reimagining design education, at 85 years old.
