āGender languages appear to reduce women's labor force participation and perpetuate support for unequal treatment of women.ā
Note: a gender language is one that assigns many -- sometimes all -- nouns to distinct sex-based categories, masculine and feminine.

@davegray Aye, stormy weather ahead. But yonder I see a garden of acceptance. To reach it we must expose all the worst, to understand and uncover what is the best. The worst is here and still growing, but more are finding purposeful struggles within themselves, not imposed by others.

@CarolDolbel @corneliux @Agent_654 @uxpodcast Wow, when I say Iām there in spirit I really mean it š Great hearing from you. And hello @agent_654!
Great story. A tip for these videos, though, is to include voiceover even for the texts that are not spoken. This would allow more people to benefit from the reporting. #accessibility @AlJazeera x.com/AJEnglish/statā¦
@SthlmXperience May I suggest the hashtag #sthlmx for the conference? Or isnāt there supposed to be one?
Now I realize you were using #sthlmxperienceconference in your earlier tweets. Quite long, #sthlmxc would work as well ;) But Iāll adapt to the official one.
This could be the best design tool and process Iāve ever read about. x.com/jmspool/statusā¦
Sorry, I'm just so psyched about this slidedeck I made that I keep wanting to share images from it.
Here is my drawing of Gizmo in a box. On the box is the hand-written message: "Don't feed after midnight."

I've had so much fun working on the slides for World Usability Day and @SthlmXperience.

I've drawn these characters in Keynote for my presentation next week at Sthlm Xperience Conference :) It's actually quite impressive what this piece of presentation software can be used for.

All my keynote drawing skills went into rendering this cover slide that the audience will see for all of 5 seconds š

All because I wanted a Halloween/Christmas theme and now have to figure out how to use the characters in my narrative... š
People ask me how I draw in Keynote. Here is a quick video to show the process I use. It's a quick-and-dirty demo, so I also show the full-body figure in the end. From start to finish with the full-body character took me about 90 minutes.
If you want to see this in real-time, I have the full screen recording on Vimeo:
