.@unnderbar noting that the most innovative people in children's movies is the villain.

Very important point brought up by @unnderbar - different people interpret data differently.
Analyze data together.

Anna Swartling and Tommy Marshall making the point that banks need to act more as coaches. 👍
#STHLMxperience2018

I love this, but also: The more we in design talk about coaching I feel a need that we agree on a common vocabulary - and find consensus around what this means. We have a history of divisive terminology in the UX industry.

Peter Westerling reminding us to slow down. Making the complex simple needs time.

The wonderful @paminthelab teaching us how to create a future with feeling.

Questions for @paminthelab to be asked via some sort of form, but when I scan the code... the QR code has reached its scan limit...

Almost time for Gizmo and Stripe to take the stage.

@shahzmasays @kitterati I’d want those stickers 🙋♂️

@amyhoy @berkun I would argue that her husband Frank was a time and efficiency person but that she took that further by applying psychology to it and adding the human-centric dimension (fatigue, lighting affecting work). But I would obviously not disregard Dreyfuss’ work ;)
@amyhoy @berkun Just remembered I have one of those early time studies films on my YouTube! Fascinating stuff either way :) m.youtube.com/watch?v=9fQJfa…

@berkun Happy to! On my Maybe-Someday list is to write a book about her.
↪ Replying to @berkun
@berkun As many women of the time she was most famous for being married to her husband, Frank Gilbreth, and the fact that they had 12 children. Cheaper by the Dozen (Steve Martin) was inspired by that! There is a more relevant book with the same name.
@berkun It’s actually a really good book! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheaper_b…
@berkun Lilian Gilbreth is behind the work triangle in kitchens (a distance of 5.5 feet between stove, sink and refrigerator) still used in many kitchen designs today.
↪ Replying to @berkun
@berkun I always choose to see Lilian Gilbreth as the founder of our industry, for being the first to combine time studies with psychology.
But obviously even the first wheel was designed, the iterations were maybe just longer, more considered and more goal-oriented ;)

@Niklas_Leide @emanuelkarlsten @Centerpartiet @liberalerna Tydligt och bra svar som får plats i en tweet. Ingen annan har kommit i närheten av att sammanfatta det så enkelt. Tack Niklas!
Someone is using my e-mail as reply-to address for spam. Hate when that's going on 😡.

I just want to say how much I hate that Twitter DMs add link previews BEFORE my message, although I almost always finish my message with the link at the END. It also removes the link from that message.
It’s a stupid little thing to get upset about but there it is. Over and out.
Is there a logic to #VotingDay being on a weekday in the US?

@m8rt You mean I should have two iPads? ;)
In the end, the iPad Pro is, unfortunately, still an iPad. 😢

In 18 months Seville built an 80-kilometre bikepath grid. They removed 5,000 parking spaces in the city. Bicycles now serve 70,000 trips per day.
”The whole network is €32 million,” he says. That’s how many kilometers of highway — maybe five or six? It’s not expensive infrastructure. … We have a metro line that the cost was €800 million. It serves 44,000 trips every day. With bikes, we’re serving 70,000 trips every day.”
”Even the conservatives right now tend to be in favor of cycling,” Calvo said happily. “They’re complaining that the bike lanes are not being properly maintained.”

Product development tips for @apple courtesy of google users.

Giving a heads up that the new iPad Pro does NOT come with a headphone jack. Makes perfect sense for the companion device we use to watch films for hours on end on the sofa and when travelling. Not.

Very awesome work being done here. Beautifully aligned with my own thinking on how we need to approach ethics in design. x.com/ethicskit/stat…

@MichisLeo Var tvungen att räkna. Med 17 skärmar i hemmet ligger vi bra till för att man inte ska vara utan var man än går och vänder sig. Funkar fantastiskt hittills. 👍
This why I stole this concept from Alastair for my workshop. twitter.com/acuity_design/status/1…
In the early 2000s I talked about how amazing it was that us bloggers could readily compete with global brands for attention. But this also means a handful of trolls can appear to be thousands. And media - and people whose prejudices are confirmed - swallow the bait. Every time.
