@buttondownemail How do I export my subscribers?
One of my most used shortcuts on Mac (paste without formatting: Shift + Option + Cmd + V) has stopped working and I don't understand why :(
Weird... Shift + Cmd + V worked...

@nuacco Haha, well done!
@nuacco Also, did you understand whether those sliders were on or off and whether or not that selection mattered if you clicked the button?
Go to usabilitygeek.com and check out the privacy popup (use an incognito window to trigger it if you don't see it). Read the text. Let me know what you think. There is also a way to close the window without accepting, can you figure it out?

@nuacco @glorialangreo Safari, and Opera, but also with @betterblocker - both on laptop and mobile.
On my phone I sometimes use Firefox Focus. On Windows I would use Firefox. :)

@letterpress_se These types of assertations always remind me of Thomas J Watson's quote from the 40s: "I think there is a world market for about five computers." ;)

@nuacco @glorialangreo Love the idea - will use it as an example. Thanks.
I don't use Chrome myself though since they started with the automated login. Even though it's optional (after the criticism) it's still default. theverge.com/2018/9/26/1790…

@ResearchKate There has been so much great input on this tweet that I think I must now!

@ResearchKate This is very true. I also struggle adding ALT-text to images.
For about 50% of my own talks I schedule tweets beforehand that publish alongside my talk, it helps provide context and allows people to reference my tweets in their own tweets.

@tatiyanaleanne If I was @fitbitsupport I’d block changing of e-mail to this top domain based on our two reports alone. It’s so obviously a scam.
”Breach” is harder to determine, as these actions often are done using a re-used password from another service that leaked passwords.
↪ Replying to @pubstrat
@pubstrat Completely agree. But "when in your presentation" you tell people that slides are available was not the thing I was on about :). For me it's a given that I tell people in the beginning. And I see lots of others do this as well. With a link prominently on the first slide.
↪ Replying to @Jicecream
@Jicecream I've done it as well, so I'm no saint. I've talked to a few people with attention difficulties which made me think again. It can sometimes even be a form of stimming - a self-regulatory behavior that helps block out stimuli in the environment.

@per_p At first I thought you were flying, but then I realised you probably mean sore? ;)
↪ Replying to @pubstrat
@pubstrat I am specifically addressing the practice of telling people they do not need to take photos. In tweet 2 I clarify that making slides available is really useful. So I'm saying there is a difference between commenting on the behavior, and just telling people slides are available.

Does not legally require the government to act, so no one can be held accountable, and there is no single definition of climate emergency. What this means, beyond words, remains to be seen. Worst case it delays action.
Ideas can feel good, but it’s the outcomes that matter. x.com/cnnbrk/status/…

@cwodtke @eaton @brownorama ❤️ "Don't assume, accept." is a mantra of mine. I don't always get it right, but it's worth regularly reminding myself about.
