Vad ligger i ordet "intressent" för dig?
Thomas Svensson lyfte ämnet för mig idag apropå utvecklingsprojekt, där man vill poängtera behovet av att förbättra för målgrupperna. Jag delade då med mig av min snabbt ihopknåpade definition:

intressent.
en människa eller annan varelse med moraliskt värde som kan påverkas såväl positivt som negativt av lösningen. Maktbalans och inflytande varierar mellan intressenter. Utvecklingsprojekt varierar i hur väl de tar hänsyn till - och inkluderar - utsatta, röstsvaga och diskriminerade intressenter.
Det är lätt att slentrianmässigt prata om intressentanalyser och -kartläggningar utan att först tillsammans ha pratat om varför de är viktiga. Det är också så att bilden och betydelsen av ett så vitt begrepp kan förändras över tid och anpassas till rådande värderingar. Därför är det viktigt att prata om orden vi använder.
Och är man som jag kan man nog ägna en hel förmiddag åt dialog och reflektion runt den här betydelsen. Intressenter kan vara det viktigaste vi har att ta hänsyn till när vi skapar något nytt. Det är alldeles för lätt att förbise intressenter som kan drabbas negativt och få det sämre av lösningar som kanske gynnar andra.

Om många använder ordet intressent kanske vi kan arbeta för att ordet ska få mer innebörd, med konnotationer, reflektion, osv.
Exempelvis:

Main reason I'm wary of nuclear power is my field of expertise: communication science.
I once did an exercise creating long-time nuclear waste warning messages for 10,000 years in the future.
It's acutely obvious to me how this will fail miserably. 🧵

I do believe Thomas Seboek was on the right track proposing an Atomic Priesthood. The priesthood would preserve the knowledge of radioactive waste's locations and dangers through rituals and myths. We do love stories. But believing them 10,000 years from now?
The idea of cats changing color due to radiation, perhaps? In 2014, musician Emperor X wrote such a song called "Don't Change Color, Kitty", designed to be "so catchy and annoying that it might be handed down from generation to generation over a span of 10,000 years".
So many absurd ideas have been proposed over the past decades. Task groups are pulling their hair. And while this glaring problem and threat to future humans persists, their wellbeing seems to rest on the success of these absurdities.

I review about 40 sites for a prize every year. This is my fourth year. I always meet the deadline, but always on the very last day. What is fascinating is that even though it's a hard deadline this client never feels the need to check in or remind me. I appreciate this soo much!
