@A_Silvers @inkblurt Amazon just launched in Sweden the other week and it pains me to my core. Pain. Invoking pain in others seems to be a tenet of WEIRD success.

@inkblurt 💯 And we really do need to start shifting the consensus on what success means and feels like.

@theredheadsaid I have never used a check in my life. True story.
@theredheadsaid The US, Singapore and China are check power users, but for most countries there has been a steep decline in the past two decades. I got a bank card when I was 16 in (1990) and have only ever used cash or cards since then. Or bank transfers…

@theredheadsaid That the US even still uses checks never fails catch me by surprise.

@theredheadsaid I wrote a lot of poetry in my teens. Sometimes I reminisce :)

@deeped @fredrikwass @nilrod @sanasilb Rätt satsat! 💡 😃
The balance of knowing when to engage, and when to release, is at the core of human wellbeing.
Empathy fatigue and burnout is real. Find time to let go and self-care.
People are suffering. Stand up and fight with them.
Do both. Not one all the time.
Your body knows. Listen.
Some people do not get to choose. But if you can, experiment with finding your balance.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone who is fighting is to provide them with space to rest.
It's wondrous to understand that even if I can not fight intently I can offer support, cheer and space for those who are fighting - mitigating their fatigue, empowering their cause.
And yes, I used "self-care" as a verb on purpose. It should be a conscious action.
Used in a sentence:
"Go hither and self-care."
How you self-care will differ from others. Listen inwards.

@wistikent @gunillaleffler @deeped @fredrikwass @asa_sandberg @uxpodcast @amybphd Vilket minne!

@JesperBylund On my mind are design choices where one makes it difficult to abandon shopping carts or services (easy to join, hard to leave), or where tools are forced upon a worker or citizen with no other choice available (time reporting system, or downloading an app to pay for parking).

Choice architecture is all we do,
What will you allow the other to choose?
All the options or just a few?
Will you permit a winning path, if it means you lose?
The dreams of others matter too.
