@Beastankar I'm writing a book about it this fall 😀. No solutions promised though... haha.

@Beastankar True, but does not solve the problem of accountability.

@Beastankar Yup. And even harder when we have psychiatrist bots and a patient commits suicide.
If someone builds a humanoid robot and this robot inadvertently kills someone, who is responsible? We need to figure this shit out soon.
Imagine if it came out that someone already cracked this code 15 years ago... x.com/fastcompany/st…

I've finally figured out how Twitter threading works and it's STILL hard to get right! 11 years and they still don't have Jaiku's usability.

@elou Also let's also pretend we invented something new that's actually always been there for them, like a volume control.

@elou They're trying to hit max on the evil-o-meter. "Let's see how we can better manipulate users AND blame them for any change we have to make."

@janeruffino Yeah, most probably, there's definitely a Swedish naivety - but also a general cluelessness about how digital storage works.
Press conference today about how Sweden's transport board has outsourced data mgmt, essentially placing military data in other countries.
This of course against all procedure and law, people are, or will be, losing their jobs.
But it's an interesting case study in how impossible data protection is in a digital world. All it takes is one person. One leak.
Biggest lesson of all: many professionals have little or no knowledge on how the data they are "protecting" is handled.
The board had knowledge, yet not one acted. This was all uncovered by Sweden's security police.
This reminded me how remembering ASCII codes from my 80s programming ventures has helped me bond with devs today. "Esc is 27." "Wait, how!?" x.com/shanselman/sta…
