@palace Perhaps it is a rare skill because understanding of the brain is in its infancy and have not yet reached our learning environments.
@palace But yes, I would imagine a majority of journalists rely on the closed-mindedness of the receiver.
@palace My point was this: deciding to believe an article is a leap of faith in that it means you decide to trust the source.
@palace And I agree this happens because the article aligns with your biases, hence "what you expect to find".

@palace Certainly, but as you say then: we can be more or less aware of this and put more or less effort into countering our own biases.
@palace In a coaching capacity, for instance, I rarely give advice because I can not truly understand the other person's emotions and circumstances.
