@audreylouisa Yup, and they better fix it soon. Right now it says ”low priority”, but if spam becomes a problem on Medium it won’t last long.
@audreylouisa Also, if you see the original thread, Medium support directed me to a support page that only talks about the web version of reporting. My impression was they were surprised to learn the app workflow is different.

@beantin I see this backfiring very hard. What kid uses messenger apps their parents force them to use? Sure, they’ll play along and have multiple apps anyway 😂

Also, to ”flag” a story may not be the most internationally viable terminology.
But I do urge everyone to try out the workflow and see if you find it. I’m thankful to Medium for handing me an example to be used in classes and workshops :)
Actually the ”button” does say ”Report”. But man this is not a place I would assume this type of feature to be hidden in. x.com/axbom/status/9…

@jilliancyork Biggest concern, as @beantin put it to me, would be what permissions this Facebook app gets on your phone and the tracking that will ensue.

@liberatumente @getSendy It works really well for me. The setup is quite technical but once it’s up and running it’s all very smooth. Owning and running my own platform feels very reassuring after that Mailchimp blunder.

Just thinking of the useless and harmful consumption escalating in the holiday season is making me sad. This conflict of emotions is no doubt stronger than ever.
