@gkionify I was designing them in my head during my walk with the dog earlier.
@gkionify Mine would have a physical button to let in outside sound, e.g. for when I approach and talk to the cashier in the shop.

Looking for over-ear noise-cancelling headphones that can alternate between wireless and wired, as well as allow hear-through at will. Do they exist? #headphones

@scatteredbrainV My outlook is more dire. I see the world getting more complex and people struggling to understand how they fit in the grand scheme and how to contribute to positive impact. I probably should get my nose out of all these books.
↪ Replying to @val_brigatti
@scatteredbrainV True, I can see that happening in professions where people work with their hands, or with people. Esprcially where people are not pushing their own agenda onto others.
Reading and writing about ethical design sure brings you down many rabbit holes. One of them being: does anyone really know what the f**k they’re doing?
Nothing triggers my spidey sense like people who are convinced they know exactly what they’re doing, what the answers are and what you should be doing to reach your goals as well.
These are not listening people.

@JesperBylund I was at the gym doing deadlifts (and more) yesterday after 3 months away (for no good reason). Feel like this year is off to a good start!

@_erland Fantastiskt att de kastar om och skriver Vårdguiden 1177. 🤔

@lwelchman In Sweden public service radio and tv is pretty good. We pay a mandatory licence fee of about 300 USD per ”home” and year for this, if you have a receiver.
↪ Replying to @lwelchman
@lwelchman 🙂 Personally I find it increasingly hard to find quality content. Sifting through coercive content is costing me time and happiness. I would readily pay 10-15 USD per week across trusted sources. But that’s me. I think most continue to expect it for free.
@lwelchman Maybe replace ”coercive”, with ”manipulative” :)
↪ Replying to @TheNewThinkerr
@TheNewThinkerr I would assume most argue that this is and should be free. The follow-up is naturally then: do we get what we pay for? Or is it safe to continue to expect quality coverage be delivered at no cost to readers/viewers?
@TheNewThinkerr Personally I’m finding it ever-difficult to wade through the coercion to find anything that is valuable.
How much money per month do you feel is reasonable to spend in order to stay aware and updated on local and global current events?

This practice of writers taking payments to mention brands in articles... it makes me sad for the state of media. theoutline.com/post/2563/how-…
I’m setting up my feed reader to be ready for what 2018 throws in my face. Who or what are your most relevant and trustworthy sources for news, feature articles and balanced explanations of conflict?
Extra plus for sensible writers/publications you trust but tend to write stuff you don’t always agree with.
Swedish @TV4 are flashing out an interview with a nutritionist explaining why everyone wants pizza today. I’m like: ”awesome statement on what the the news will be like in 2018”. Just as bland, mainstream and irrelevant as ever.

@TV4 And yes, I turned off all their notifications after this.
You’re not using a fact or ”recipe for success” when employing behavioral science in web design; you’re just conducting another experiment. Make sure your experiment is set up responsibly, measured fairly and that you are treating your subjects with care. #ux #misusability

@albertatrebla @infobeautiful I’m not sure I want the ”What earns you money” in there though. For me, that’s a western addition that subtracts from the overarching ”a reason for being”. A person’s ikigai can also be their hobby, or raising children.
