@acc_UX_Molly This is all so new it won't actually be until next autumn that this course is implemented. And I have taken on a lot of the outlining of the course. 😬 I will definitely do a write-up.

@munsonbh Thanks. This list will have to grow over time. Generally, when working with accessibility I include differing linguistic background in cognitive disabilities, and would thus include it in ”disability minority”. But further clarifications will certainly be required.
Lots of takeaways from the @RBReich documentary Saving Capitalism.
”The preferences of the average American appear to have only a miniscule near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy.”

Outtake.
You’ll want to watch Inequality for All as well. Check out netflix.com/title/70267834
@RBReich does an amazing job of explaining how inequality is triggered. This is so important for more people to understand.
How do you explain memes (in words) to people who have never seen a meme?
Just called out my dad on the habit of referring to the act of asking your wife as ”asking the government”, a common habit among men in Sweden born earlier than the 80s. Not expecting to change a lot in this particular case but practicing and setting an example is always good.
Ethics is now on the curriculum of the UX designer trade school program for which I’m on the advisory board. Feels huge. Many emotions.😍😭😀

My concept sketch for a card set around negative impact. They would serve as an aid to imagine how people may be harmed by a digital solution.

When we force children with sensory overload issues to take off their hat (which protects them from overstimulation by both light and to some extent sound) in the name of etiquette, we are saying: this culture has no space and no future to offer the likes of you. #a11y
Humanity is defined by whether we choose to pursue changing the culture or the kid.
A tweet that just keeps on giving. Kumar is in the comments explaining when people ask, and people are contributing more wisdom. x.com/kumaragarg/sta…

In Sweden we have Blocket that does this really well (our variant of Craigslist). People keep saying ”they never change their design” and I’m like ”They actually change a lot, but only the things you want to change.” x.com/jmspool/status…

@waxle @SolidMit You can actually start playing with Solid.js - it’s just a tad beyond my comfort zone. github.com/solid/solid-cl…

@waxle I really like the concept of hosting your own data. But what Facebook does well, and which is most difficult to replicate, is reach people with low tech maturity.
