[sv] Givet hur svenska språket låter idag (lyssnar på P3) kan vi väl ändå konstatera att #SvenskaAkademien inte lyckats med sitt uppdrag där heller.

@fitzsimple Nice! It's this Swedish book that outlines most of the research: adlibris.com/se/bok/risker-…
@fitzsimple If you want to go down the rabbit hole for countless hours 😬 you can search for "White Male Effect" and "Risk perception". It's obviously not always as simple as I presented it. ;)

@Hilaryonline @shaun_gomm 😂 Haha, based on what? But I did get people asking me if I was Sigma, which kinda makes sense if you know it's Swedish.

@fitzsimple Awesome tips. I'm happy the point about having an anonymous feedback form was in there. Mentioning a form like this has changed a lot for me, but actually more in the sense that this makes more people feel comfortable enough to come up and give me honest feedback after the talk.

@JesperBylund @Laninge In the case of the guy who died (a base jumper) the call is really, really difficult. He did also consent to being filmed. And the gif is just of a "normal" jump. It's only myself who can really make the call, based on my own value system.
@JesperBylund @Laninge I need to blog now! 😂 Thanks for making me think even more deeply about it. :)

@JesperBylund @Laninge Good points. On my part if I feel worse thinking someone may get hurt, I feel better avoiding that situation, especially when there are usually alternative paths to achieving what I want. But I agree that it's not black and white.
@JesperBylund @Laninge When it comes to gifs featuring clips from movies I'm, for now, going to assume actors are less likely harmed in the same sense. So I'm going to argue: not all gifs.
Ever since someone mentioned a suspicion that the person in an animated gif I used had died in an accident, I've thought more and more about how many gifs likely cause emotional suffering because of their widespread use. I'm gonna take it easy on the gifs moving on.
