A good design artefact does not illustrate only what we know, but also what we don't know. That is why I've always loved the Mental Models technique as it has been taught by @indiyoung
↪ Replying to @markireland
@markireland True, a bit pricey for this single task though :)

@kallepa @sundhage Thanks! Using wavve now but it's a bit expensive when I'm only using it primarily for this task.
Okay, here's a question for you peeps: is there an easy way of adding a soundwave waveform animation (based on a sound clip) to a video?
Thinking there's maybe an app for this... 😬
I hate that all these online services (often video) almost always have subscription based models. As a freelancer I want to buy 1-3 one-off products, not sign up for a year of being bled dry.
So many ethical lines being crossed here it’s like impact spaghetti.

@TheSineadBurke Practice listening to others without prejudice. Never assume you understand the experience of other people. When you learn to listen you will uncover paths that help others and yourself. :)
When human devotion to a tech solution not only makes people die of hunger but also erases all traces of responsibility, thus removing any pathway to complaining.
This development is truly frightening. x.com/newyorker/stat…

@MrAlanCooper 1) Helping listeners feel smarter / happier / human.
2) Giving more than you expect to receive.
3) Sound quality.
Currently engaged in one of the most exciting games of chess I've played with my oldest son. This is the board one hour in. He's got a bit of pressure on me but I'm preparing for the bloody massacre to ensue.
On Tuesday it's time to ✈️ to Lisbon for an intense week of #uxlx. @Beantin and I will be recording speaker interviews for @UXPodcast 🎙.
Always feels like going back to our roots as this was the conference that triggered the very first episode back in 2011.
If you're heading to #uxlx as well and want something to get you in the mood during your travels, here is a playlist with interviews from previous years, and 3 people speaking this year: @Acuity_Design, @brownorama and @RMBanfield.

The white and gold / blue and black dress, the yanny / laurel sound and the brainstorm / green needle mind trick are here to remind us how other people's experiences are their own and it's not your place to judge them.
Also, humans are quite incomplete.

@dhh Wow, that was actually a big chunk of content explaining the "Don't be evil" value that was removed as well. Looking forward to Alphabet's explanation of this move.

Apple's app Clips will do live captioning for you as you speak. And yes, you can edit the text afterwards. In this case I only added the question mark at the very end.

Surviving May should be made into a feature film. The amount of stuff I have going on right now is... colossal / formidable / overpowering / crushing / debilitating. Take your pick. Also, great words for a movie trailer don't you think?
↪ Replying to @espirian
@espirian Exactly, and I'd argue that this is a problem and design fail...
@espirian Besides of course the fact that the ability to add image descriptions should be turned on for all users by default...
