@DanWatersDesign Hehe, perspective-shifting is a cool and healthy practice.

@marmurube I don't know anyone close that does, but you're right that online training is the most obvious route. I'm now thinking the foundation for tech ethics doesn't change as often as UX…
Me: I'd like to figure out a way to make money without having to sell my presence in real time (consulting).
My wife: Well you could stop giving away so much content for free!
Me: Well, I don't want to do that!!
This conversation has been on repeat for years. I'm a bit slow 😅
Even if you wildly misinterpret the data, you are still "data-driven".
Congratulations.

@LenaLeigert Tack för att du delar med dig. Viktigt att uppmärksamma hur bedragarna blir skickligare.
Awesome live-tweeting of the hearing by @Iwillleavenow . Hard to choose what to retweet. Go read the whole thread. x.com/Iwillleavenow/…

@odinho @ishyamo @whereby @MURAL 😊I get where this comes from and appreciate the attention to user autonomy. I do believe a sound alert is needed here, as attention will often be away from screen. Also, a time limit. If I have closed the room it shouldn’t be available indefinitely. + Give me ability to enter.

↪ Replying to @ErikBernskiold
@ErikBernskiold Haha. Ja. Och Whereby har en funktion där jag kan prata med alla rummen från ”scenen” men jag kunde inte det efter att jag stängt rummen. Så jag kunde inte nå människor…
Meeting platform @whereby dropped the ball on this one. When I ended the breakout rooms today none of my students came back. Apparently there is a new button users have to click to go back. But everyone was busy working on their @mural boards, so of course they didn’t notice… 🤦
@whereby @MURAL As meeting responsible I had no idea of this change and no way to go into the rooms to tell people in person, because the rooms, as far as my interface was concerned, did not exist anymore.
Took me 7 minutes to get everyone back to the main room.
The senate subcommittee hearing with whistleblower @FrancesHaugen is starting shortly.

@JesperBylund For me this was a simple explanation of how following Facebook's own suggestions, as determined by algorithms, leads to exposure to harmful content. i.e. not something that is actively searched by a user but actively suggested by the platform.
