@amyhoy @berkun I would argue that her husband Frank was a time and efficiency person but that she took that further by applying psychology to it and adding the human-centric dimension (fatigue, lighting affecting work). But I would obviously not disregard Dreyfuss’ work ;)

@berkun As many women of the time she was most famous for being married to her husband, Frank Gilbreth, and the fact that they had 12 children. Cheaper by the Dozen (Steve Martin) was inspired by that! There is a more relevant book with the same name.

@berkun Lilian Gilbreth is behind the work triangle in kitchens (a distance of 5.5 feet between stove, sink and refrigerator) still used in many kitchen designs today.
