Planning to move away from Gmail (Google Suite) by end of year and start supporting small tech with a privacy focus.

What services should I be looking into (plus for non-US based). Also, any calendar management advice is appreciated (this is my primary challenge in this move).

These are some services I support today:

@whereby for conference calls (Norway).
@LiveWebinar1 for workshops and talks (Poland).
@MailerLite for newsletters and landing pages (Lithuania).

For reference, I'm just going to post this list of data sub processors that the new HEY e-mail service uses:

Amazon Web Services. Braintree. Google Cloud Platform. Help Scout. Mailchimp. Sentry. TaxJar. Zapier.

They're all US-based.

"Do you have examples of ethical design?"

One reason this can feel hard to answer is that part of ethical design is conversations about what not to do. Ethical design is often invisible because the result is that harm is avoided by *not* building or implementing something.

This is a heartfelt thank you to all the designers who sparked the conversation - and listened - to stop or refrain from making the thing that would impair the well-being of another person or community. It likely happens all the time.

Ethical design can be as simple as making it straightforward to delete your online account. For examples of unethical variants, try deleting some social media accounts. :)

@tb220 Right, and regulations are often bypassed when tech is in play. In Sweden MSB bypassed procurement processes and ignored privacy warnings. I did not address tech 'companies', but the role of tech in healthcare.

Approvals of medical devices, when they are apps, are undemanding.

@tb220 But I agree, time has shown when medical professionals are involved in evaluation, they are often cautious and take time to reason. Showing the system works. Problems more often appear when other parts of government push ahead without consideration.

Håller med om att det kan vara lätt att hamna fel, även om Omni Ekonomi skriver ut tydligt "ett års bindningstid". Det är ändå betydligt bättre än Di som mörkar detta helt bakom tvetydiga ord.
