With all we know about bias integrated in AI, having IBM's AI supercomputer be named Watson is far beyond ironic. It's horrific.

Sometimes I imagine that my level of compassion can be measured by the number of people I am willing to include in the pronoun 'we'. And then I realise it's a pointless and unfair thing to try and measure. All I can do is remember to build it, and act on it when I can be of help.
