↪ Replying to @hockew

Now is probably a good time to tell someone in your life how much you appreciate them.
Also: there is never a bad time for this.

@WolfgangBremer Seen two episodes now. Very good.

@charleyboorman @Apple @longwaytv @Belstaff @harleydavidson @Rivian @RussMalkin That was truly nerve-racking...
A bot expert getting tagged as a bot by Twitter and losing all contacts is ironic but also very frustrating. I recommend following @augmentedrobot for her expertise in VR/AR, conversational UI, and machine learning within the space of e-health. x.com/augmentedrobot…
As luck would have it, I even realized it's #FollowFriday 🥳
↪ Replying to @MetalHaze
@MetalHaze @thoresson @tvrdek I also love how it always has a countdown, in the menu bar, to my next meeting.

@jessicamalonso Yes! One of my favorite quotes by Anne Frank:
"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

↪ Replying to @austingovella
@austingovella I think I am only really saying that I wouldn't be able to to determine beforehand if planning is more important than care for the participants. I'd likely prioritize their wellbeing over planned outcome.
This app saves me so much time!! x.com/axbom/status/1…

@amybphd Thanks! The immediate vs long-term is an important factor for me as well. Local vs. global as well… I’m envisioning a canvas here… 😅
↪ Replying to @austingovella
@austingovella For me, planning is akin to a tool that can or can not support the qualities of care - depending on how sensitive the planner is to these issues.
I've experienced people plan workshops for many weeks (or one they've used for years) and still crash and burn.
I currently donate mainly to:
WWF ocean initiatives, Free the Slaves, Unicef, UNCHR and dog shelters in Sweden, incl. the 'animal ambulance'.
Looking now at how effective my donations are. Anyone with insights on how to evaluate and allocate using trusted methods?
↪ Replying to @ReduceToReuse
@ReduceToReuse Teaching for me be like:
"Remember to exercise caution and question your own bias."
Students: "Yes, but what tools do you use?"
😅
Many people ask me about tools for running workshops. Partly my own fault. But I need to stress more how running a workshop is not about the tools but about attentiveness, compassion, active listening to participants and the ability to summarise shared learnings and insights.
The focus of any tool has to be to support or enhance these qualities. If you don’t see that it does, don’t use the tool. Also practice using the tool beforehand. Run small tests with smaller groups if you can - be serious about getting feedback.
2 + 2 = 1 +3
There is always more than one path to the result. Choose the one that doesn’t hurt anyone.
Strategy is about having as many paths as possible to something that isn’t loss. This can be seen as an opportunity for moral decision-making.
Sometimes 3 is better than 4.
