@Kolombiken Perhaps. It's a bit concerting that they decided not to support ActivityPub, the W3C standard, and have opted for Mastodon specific APis.
I just found out that I also can not be followed by someone using Ice Cubes. It simply blocks anything that isn't Mastodon.

This is super interesting, thank you for tagging me. After my migration last week I had 1,000 followers listed (down from before migration). By my approximation only about 20-25 of those could actually see my posts. It took me a while to figure this out.
All followers were (as expected) listed as following me. But essentially everyone had what natbas is describing, a pending follow request. I also donât have, and never have had, approval of follows activated.
So when follow requests fail, they get queued, and it tends to look like this. People who follow you think youâre not approving their request and you yourself think theyâre following you, because that is what their profile says. Very frustrating.
How long it will take for servers to try and renegotiate will vary but I have heard mention to me that Mastodon servers will stop trying after a week and then be stuck in this state.

@lee I canât remember if we talked about it back on Twitter, Lee, but Iâm a huge fan of your work. Your RSS and Wiki videos of course, but I also really appreciated the Art of Explanation as well as Big Enough. The former is definitely a primary reason I started making more explainer videos for clients which has been a huge success.
My first explainer video, almost 11 years ago now, was just sketches and hands pulling in those sketches (though all digital rather than true CommonCraft style).
That video explained the goal of a project (a national behavioral therapy platform for Sweden) with how people were using and managing this future product.
It took 3 years to develop the tool and when we were done it could do everything in that video and even the rough sketches matched the interface. That blev my mind. It was such a powerful tool for bringing a common vision to the team, where different devs came and went through the years.
When I hear you mention a platform I know youâve done your due diligence :)

Had this conversation (yet again, sigh) with a client earlier this morning. This person being someone who understood though:
We won't make any progress if all these projects keep building first and then start thinking about accessibility later on. Accessibility has to be front and center. Otherwise you did not build a usable thing at all, and you likely will have to redo stuff to improve it and you won't because you'll claim resources are depleted by then and you'll start loving the excuse "come on, it works for most people".
And the appeal for help... "we built this thing, can someone help us make it accessible please (for free please)" sounds at first like a friendly voice but also says a lot about how low of a priority accessibility has been up until then and likely will continue to be.
Sorry, just needed to get this out of my system⊠People could very well be the nicest of persons and have the best of intent, but WCAG 1.0 came out in 1999. That's now 24 years ago. WCAG 2.0 in 2008. If you build stuff for the web, why are you deciding to ignore all this vast amount of knowledge that is available for free?
