@beantin @BrizaPie @graver_ua The crazy thing here is that I am thinking of buying a second phone because I can not maintain self-control...
↪ Replying to @beantin
@beantin @graver_ua I thought about that too, but I think I should bring my Canon EOS60D for that and actually take some decent pictures.

@graver_ua @ulyssesapp @setapp Yay, I use them all :) I bought UlyssesApp before getting @setapp but it's all worth it. Ulysses is where I keep all the notes for the book.

@graver_ua Nice. I did the whole of January without Facebook. Doing without smartphone must be liberating in a sense.
@graver_ua Need to find ways to limit distractions now that I'm writing a book this autumn.
↪ Replying to @graver_ua
@graver_ua I'm seriously considering one as a time-out phone. Not as in having when I spend time out, but as in having for social media breaks. :)

@janeruffino Sorry to hear that. Let me know if I can do something.
↪ Replying to @clartem
@clartem My motorcycle analogy: The faster I'm going the more time I'm spending on staying on the road, and less time considering the environment.
@clartem I've never missed an exit taking the scenic route. Plus my well-being is boosted and brain is replenished.
@clartem Does that work? 😀
↪ Replying to @clartem
@clartem I've been involved in projects where success is based on faster performance. Yet I've seen no increase in satisfaction, just more worry.
↪ Replying to @clartem
@clartem Fair point :) but that word "pressure" makes me cringe. In my rant then the second task would be "more of the same, just faster."
↪ Replying to @naynerz
@naynerz I would never cut off your hand though :)

@whatusersdo But to get there you of course also need an open mind going in. Ample time for self-reflection is just as important as the research.
↪ Replying to @betterux_
@whatusersdo The only way I overcome biases is really to challenge them. More research, more exposure to different ideas, is what helps me overcome bias.
↪ Replying to @betterux_
@whatusersdo I talk about them with peers. It is after hundreds of interviews though that you begin to learn that you know nothing, and just go with it.
↪ Replying to @paulrandall
@paulrandall @lloydtl_ @whatusersdo To avoid creepiness I suggest check-ins like: "How do you feel the session is going so far?" i.e. research about the research 😀
↪ Replying to @paulrandall
@paulrandall @lloydtl_ @whatusersdo Yeah, I see subconscious mirroring happening when there is a true connection. All good.
↪ Replying to @perpetualny
@perpetualny @whatusersdo True. Any presumed outcomes should be documented for the benefit of transparency, and ethics, when interpreting the results.
