@kaseyjwang I have very little experience of this as I always turn down help, but very fair points. Shopping in physical stores can be painful, requires resilience as they do want to track you. Do you see us approaching a world where it’s impossible to stay anonymous even in physical stores?

@xtopher1974 True, but it feels easier for me to opt out by paying cash and avoiding customer clubs. I had the thought today at a café where I paid cash. But you’re right, a lot of tracking going on anyway.

@alundbergh Totally agree. My control is that I tell people Messenger is a non-preferred way to reach me and I check it rarely. On Chrome I had a plugin that blocked read receipts, but I don’t bother with that anymore. Telegram, e-mail and Twitter DM are what I’ve boiled it down to.

@alundbergh I have no notifications activated for messenger and look at it once per day on average. So I still feel in control.

@jessalyn I was in Almedalen last year and came 5 feet away from a police/nazi confrontation. The nazi stuck a SLR camera in their faces, taking pictures of them and laughing. Very intense. This was moments after they had tipped over the holocaust memorial pieces.
@jessalyn This nazi was a suspect but it blew my mind that he seemed untouchable. They couldn’t take his camera, merely inform that he was requested to be heard at the police station. In the end the police officers were made uncomfortable by having their pictures taken.
@jessalyn The system is broken and dangerous when police are this helpless in confrontation with a known nazi. The designated force for good is toothless and that is something that needs to be changed soon as citizens are experiencing more fear. If not, it can only spin out of control.

@alissadesigns You’re right. I’m suggesting here that working as a team with people who have similar skills to yourself is different from working with teams where there are many different backgrounds and skill sets.
@alissadesigns For example: should I as a designer make a prototype that I hand over to a dev or should I sit next to the developer and have a conversation that allows them to build the prototype. The latter is hugely beneficial in my opinion but hard to teach in school.
