@jmspool This was interesting. Overwhelmed and whelmed were once synonyms. I thought otherwise you had found an English word for hygge. :)

@jmspool I brought up the problems with this fallacy in a talk last year and it was astonishing to me how many came up to me after to defend it.
There are so many of these truthisms being repeated... adding to the complexity of teaching, when others in teaching roles believe them.

@katherinemzhou I struggle with this as well and I can truly recommend the book The Future of Capitalism by Paul Collier. I haven't taken a stand on everything he brings up, but it is thought-provoking and important.
@katherinemzhou In the end I think we are still in the Discovery phase of digital ethics and a systemic change is needed where whole cultures redefine how value is defined within the realm of capitalism.

@cwodtke @imaginari_es @Folletto I tend to recommend using MarsEdit or even @ulyssesapp and publish from them to Wordpress, thus bypassing the online interface altogether. Those are Mac apps though, I don’t know about Windows...

@Jake_pryszlak All review systems are broken in some way and endless factors play into the results. The questions is always how the data is used/interpreted and what work goes into assessing how valid the data is. They never give answers, but they can provide theories to further investigate.
