@Daojoan Do you maybe have this text as a blog post somewhere? I would love to be able to share it with more people. Itâs painful in a recognizable way, which also makes it comforting. I see in words what I feel.
@Daojoan Thatâs bizarre!
@grymt I offer this list of big tech alternatives đ

@kolombiken NÀr jag klickar faller hjÀrtan. HÀnder nÄgot om du skriver love i e-postrutan? (utan att skicka).

@grymt I think YouTube for me symbolises the polar opposite of what I love about the qualities of podcasting as it emerged: the open format (RSS) that allows free, decentralised distribution and freedom from surveillance. So directing people to a surveillance-ridden website (which I fully understand is often non-intentional) when recommending a âpodcastâ, just shatters everything that I hoped podcasting would continue to be.
But yeah, Iâm old and idealistic. And I do feel the same way for example about Spotify when it comes to podcasting.
@kolombiken Similar for me, though I use Pocket Casts.
I do think YouTube can very well be the biggest in terms of where people listen to âpodcastsâ today. Which is part of what makes me sad. For me a podcast is not a podcast without the open distribution format (RSS). And the open distribution format is for me the strength of the format⊠where YouTube epitomises all of the very opposite qualities: like proprietary distribution and surveillance - collecting a vast amount of information on an individual basis.
The ones Iâm thinking of do not share timestamps, but itâs I see the logic. Pocket Casts also allows sharing to a timestamp as well.
@kolombiken PÄ riktigt? Jag har testat överallt, men inte pÄ Android dock.
@subhanqedirli Thank you đ
@subhanqedirli Thanks, the #fediverse infographic can be downloaded here in hi-res: https://axbom.com/fediverse

@JoWa Oj, vad hemskt đą
@dmcgk @Kaiern I have a battery-powered snow blower from Ryobi. Itâs decent. Also quite expensive when I realised I needed 36v batteries. đŹ I have long paths to clear, and it certainly helps with most of itâŠ
Iâve seen the new âelectric shovelâ from Ryobi as well. Looks neat but would be too little for my needs.
Both these feel expensive but considering that snow shoveling is significant trigger of cardiac arrest amongst men (here in Sweden), itâs an investment in myself as well.
@mkj As a long-time Atari XL and ST user I love the fact that software easter eggs likely got their name by way of Atari.
I remember in the early 2000s how I loved making sure there was an easter egg in most hobby websites I built. Usually a keypress combination. It seems like Google/Alphabet is the primary software company keeping to this tradition, but Iâm gonna try and make an effort to encourage more easter eggs in corporate websites.
