As it turns out, Diaspora does in fact not support ActivityPub. In the new version of the diagram Diaspora is its own tree.

@meena Thanks I added a mention of it in the blog post.
@stevefoerster Hehe, you and me both.
@mat Thanks for catching this. I’ve seen it mentioned in blog posts but have not tried myself. There was also the Pterotype plugin but that hasn’t been updated in 4 years. I believe there will be much more work done in this space now to ensure quality plugins, with the growth of the Fediverse.

I’ve changed the wording in the blog post.
@autiomaa Thanks. That’s a good one for me to look at, but would feel very daunting for newbies I think 😁
@youronlyone Thanks, Socialhome was already in the picture you commented. 😉
Zot is mentioned in the blog post since version 1.1. In version 1.2 you can see the connections between protocols. Zot is not its own tree yet though. Still have to figure out how far I want to go. Will never be possible to cover everything and make it reasonably welcoming to peruse.
@thatonecalculator Can you provide me with more info?
@drq I removed it intentionally as their page says it is no longer maintained and they are recommending other applications.
It is still mentioned on the blog post, with this information.
@rysiek Thank you for bringing it to my attention. 😊 This feels much better.
@pebbe It’s a protocol, so I’ve added a mention of it on the blog post. Thanks.
@dielan Mentioned on the page now ;)
@CapitalB Thanks, I should absolutely have done a better compression job on the images I posted here Will do for the next iteration.
I didn’t want to have to redo it, as Nextcloud are adding this in the default installation before the end of the year.

@handowl Hi, that is explained in the post. The Matrix protocol follows the principles of the Fediverse.
@tinyspheresof I have received so many ideas for development of the diagram I know it will be literally impossible to give a true representation of the Fediverse. But also, the Fediverse Wikipedia entry is only part of the truth. I have come across more protocols and applications than that page covers. Matrix, XMPP, Solid, for instance.
Someone added my diagram to the Wikipedia entry, so that’s still now a good source, though 😅
@luka Thank you Luka 🙏
Thank you Jörgen. So happy this made you revive your blog! I hope blogging on self-owned domains will pick up again. Added it to my reader so you better keep writing 😁
