I see people use QR codes in fundraising graphics.
Be advised that QR codes in graphics are easily replaced by bad actors, essentially giving them an opportunity to try and hijack some payments and funnel them to their own accounts.
Worst case, the original fundraiser reposts a fake graphic, thinking it’s their own.
"Imagine you are a campaign owner who has produced a graphic asking for donations, encouraging people to scan a QR code. You see someone on social media posting your graphics and encouraging to donate to your efforts. It's likely full of praise for you and your mission. It makes you happy and proud, so you republish it and thank them.
Now what if I told you that person was not actually posting your graphic, but a manipulated one with their own QR code in place of yours. So now you've repeated their version of the image to all of your own followers, essentially endorsing it and helping them in their deceptive efforts.”
Recommendation: don’t use QR-codes in graphics. Use official, verifiable web addresses.

I felt in really good condition this week up until yesterday. I exerted myself a bit much wanting to tend to some chores (for example mounting stuff on the walls that I've been putting off).
Now my pain from yesterday afternoon feels like it went back to how it was four weeks ago (shoulders and chest). And really bad sleep. And so now I'm kicking myself for being stupid and wanting to be able to do too much too soon.

A 2023 study into deepfake porn by Security Hero. There are 550% more deepfake videos online in 2023 than in 2019.
Some key findings:
-Deepfake porn makes up 98% of all deepfake videos.
-99% of individuals targeted in deepfake porn are women.
-South Korean singers and actresses constitute 53% of the individuals featured in deepfake porn.
-It now takes less than 25 minutes and costs $0 to create a 60-second deepfake pornographic video of anyone using just one clear face image.
-74% of deepfake pornography users don't feel guilty about it.

But in my mind it's then not okay to ALSO be fine with using "AI" tools that exist because they scraped people's content without consent and without any option to opt out.
It's specifically the combination of conflicting standpoints I am commenting on. Many of the people I see "take issue" with LinkedIn's practices don't appear to mind using tools that stole other people's content without telling anyone.
